Ramen was good but the smell of yeast was very strong inside the restaurant.

The ramen shop has no ventilation. Super small and compact. And there is this dog smell in the shop. I felt like puking and I completely lost my appetite...

Tasty Wakayama ramen, near the train station. The staff are friendly and the food is served quickly.I wouldn't go out of my way to come here though, only if I'm coming to the city for other reasons.

It's tasty.. thick soup taste but it's just nice.. you won't feel it's too heavy.. Portion is just nice and price are reasonable. Owner welcome guest with warm smile. Must try ramen if you are in Wakayama.. You can buy home souvenir pack of their ramen too.

A very small wakayama ramen shop. But the queue can get long too. It was quite a good experince dining here, a home shop sharing tables with many other patrons. Use google translate if you don't understand the menu.

The ramen was delicious. There was a bit of a long que but it was worth the wait. There are English menus avaliable. You can look around the room and see all the celebrities who have ate here. It's a cozy atmosphere. There is a parking beside the restaurant.

The legendary ramen that was once voted the best ramen in all Japan. Style is wakayama, it has round rather thin noodle and very chewy texture. There is only one type of broth and customers could customize to some extent such as add-ons eggs/pork slices. Taste of the broth was very mild albeit salty, with a tinge of either sake or fermented beans and perhaps ginger. Sushi (vinegared) rice wrapped in green papers and rice roll with pickled vegetables were available on the table. Place was small and seats approximately 20 pax, expect to rub shoulders. Queue was not so bad when we visited around 1240pm. Service lady was polite but speaks no-english, use sign language otherwise.

Over rated, small place create queue but ramen served would not say it's fantastic (probably for those who have eaten ramen in their home countries may feel this is really great) . Frankly in Japan, this is not the very best probably created popular by those who have not tasted the very good ramen in Japan itself

Nice noodles wouldn't say best in Japan but nice, broth is thick and rich not to everyone's liking, as I prefer lighter ramen broth have given 3 stars. Quick service and typical noodle bar. No beer or drinks served just iced water.

Ramen noodle is good with firm texture. The pork based broth is excellent and thick.
